Artist Statement

I like to paint big bold statements, and I want my work to connect with the mind as well as the heart. I arrive at compositional solutions through both spontaneous play and careful editing.

I play with color and gestures to explore abstract ideas of humor, beauty, absurdity and allusions toward patterns of the natural world.
